Annual American Academy of Ophthalmology Conference 2019

The Annual American Academy of Ophthalmology Conference was held in San Francisco, CA from October 11-15, 2019, and many of our Mid Atlantic Retina doctors presented. Allen Ho, MD kicked off the Retina Subspecialty days with a presentation on “Precision Subretinal Delivery for Cell and Gene Therapy”, that was featured on the AAO website.

Sunir Garg, MD, who serves on the AAO Retina Meeting Program Committee, was a panelist for the Vitreoretinal Surgery Panel Discussion. Jason Hsu, MD was also in attendance, to serve as the moderator for the Neovascular AMD session during the Retina Subspecialty days. Also, Richard Kaiser, MD participated in the Pro-Con debates, to give the side of “OCT Angiography Is Essential for Clinical Practice: Con”. Lastly, Yoshihiro Yonekawa, MD presented on “Complex Pediatric Retinal Detachments” during the Pediatric Retina section.
